E-Invoice Viewer

Visualise B2B e-invoices and XRechnung as HTML

With the passing of the Wachstumschancengesetz (WCG), e-invoicing will finally become mandatory in Germany from 1 January 2025.

From 1 January 2025, companies based in Germany must be able to accept XML e-invoices in accordance with the EN16931 standard in the UBL XML (Universal Business Language) and CII XML (Cross Industry Invoice) formats. Although such e-invoices are sent in a structured electronic format, they are very difficult for the human eye to read and interpret.

So that e-invoices can be read and checked by you and your employees, we have developed the EPO E-Invoice Viewer, which converts your XML e-invoices into a legible HTML file within seconds.

Decode and visualise invoice attachments

Invoices often contain attachments to send further information and invoice details in one step.

To keep e-invoices (XRechnung) as simple as possible, these attachments must be embedded in the XML of the invoice.

Attachments are encoded by the sender and then integrated into the XML of the e-invoice.

So that the attachments can be visualised in addition to the invoice itself, they must first be converted again.

Specifically, this means decoding and extracting the (base64) encoded part from the XML so that the attachment can ultimately be displayed in the EPO E-Invoice Viewer. The EPO E-Invoice Viewer has this functionality as standard, making your work even easier.

Convert e-invoice to PDF and download the PDF

The EPO e-invoice viewer offers the advantage that it can create a complete PDF from an XML invoice, which you can then download.

This is particularly important for workflow systems, but also for other systems that are already in use in the company and can only handle PDF and not XML invoices.

This is where the EPO e-invoice viewer offers another advantage over conventional workflow systems. Some workflow systems on the market offer the option of converting XML invoices into PDFs. However, these PDFs usually only contain a fraction of the information that would be contained in the e-invoice. Our solution ensures that all information from the e-invoice (including different VAT rates, for example) is fully included in the PDF.

There are various options for the download. You can download the original XML invoice including a converted PDF of the invoice with all the information. There is also the option of downloading only the PDF (including the converted attachments). As a third option, you can also decide to download only the decoded attachments for further processing.
