Maintenance notifications are created in the SAP PM module and made available for collection by the employees for the next shift. Notes and confirmations are handwritten on the notification by the maintenance worker. The employees bring the forms with the confirmations to the office, where they are entered manually. Used spare parts are entered exactly there. Duplication of work, little transparency, bureaucratic hurdles, travel times and, of course, a massive coordination and communication effort to fulfil the task of smooth maintenance. Let’s be honest.
